Teacher Instructions
1. Download "The Adding Class Worksheet" by clicking on its link above.
Note: Make sure that you save it to a location that you will easily find as this will be added as an attachment on your email to students.
2. Access the DET Portal by clicking on the link below:

3. Open your email account
4. Click on
'New' in the top left hand side
5. Click on the
'To' button, which opens the GAL - Global Address List.
6. Click in the
Alias field
7. Type a 'tilde' (
~) which is done by holding down the 'Shift" and Pressing the key above the 'Tab' key.
8. Then enter your school code next to the tilde.
9. Click on '
Find'
10. Select your class or tick the box next to it (Apple) from the list that appears below.
11. Click
'To' from underneath this window
12. Click
'Close'
13. Highlight all the text in the Email Task section below.
14. Copy and Paste this text into your email text window
15. Add the "Adding Class To Your Documents.doc" file as an attachment by clicking on the paper clip icon and navigating to the document on your computer.
16. Press
'Send' - the lesson will then go to all students in your class.


This means up to 30 emails will be returned to you - if you do not wish to reply to each individual email then repeat the steps 4-11 to send one email to email the whole class thanking them for their efforts.


Email Task
Your email task today is to:
1. READ THE WHOLE EMAIL FIRST
2. Open a link to a document and save it to your computer.
3. Complete the task.
4. Save your 'Word Document'
5. Attach your Document to an Email
6. Email your document to your teacher.


Complete the task by following these instructions
1. Click on the attachment
2. Save the attachment to your computer.
3. Open the
Word document
4.
Follow the instructions given in the document to complete the task.
5.
Save the document onto the desktop or in your folder. Call the file Adding Class.
6. Navigate back to your email
7. Click on the
'Reply' button at the top of your email
8. Click on the
'Attachment' Button
9. Click on the
'Browse' Button
10. Navigate to where you saved the file 'Adding Class' for example desktop or folder
11. Click on the file '
Adding Class'
12. Click on the '
Open' button
13. Click on the
'Attach' button
14. In the message section write what you learnt doing in this task
15. Click on the
'Send' button at the top of your email


Well done! You have emailed your answers to your teacher.
